I got home today around 5:00 to find the imprint of a naked man on our back deck....I knew he was naked because he had kindly accentuated his *ahem* man-part with an outline and a cleverly-placed icicle -- well played, neighbor...
...a few minutes later, a light knock on the front door resulted in a box of the same neighbor's ex-wife's maternity clothes from the recent past, my last two paychecks from the bar and a box addressed from Iowa -- said, "From Grandma" but I couldn't tell from which one......I opened it because it was fairly small and I have no patience; IT'S GRANDMA'S CHEX MIX!! You're probably not near as excited about that as I am, but if you ever try it you will understand my enthusiasm -- it's so addicting and delicious it should be illegal. Seriously. I've been eating it since I opened it; currently it is 7:22...I have put a good dent in it.
Grandmas always have that one thing that you'll never know how to make - I wonder what my "thing" will be for my grand-children....at my current state, it could be toasted peanut-butter sandwiches -- that is all I really think about lately. This baby, apparently, really loves peanut butter! Something we seem to have in common!
Looking forward to Christmas and some more "I could never make it" grandma food.....I'm already hungry for it!
